Results and recalls

How long results take

Other tests: sometimes longer. The collector can usually tell you at the time

Cervical screening: often one to two weeks

Most pathology: usually within three working days

Where to have tests done

Laverty Pathology has a collection centre nearby. The staff are experienced with adults and children.

If you do not have Medicare, Dr Morris may recommend a different laboratory to reduce your out-of-pocket cost.

How you will hear

Once all your results are back, you will get a message through HotDoc. Normal results are usually confirmed by HotDoc message or SMS. Recalls for bulk billed care plan reviews come the same way, and eligibility is checked when results arrive.

If you have opted out of HotDoc recalls

Following up your results becomes your responsibility, including abnormal ones. You will need to book an appointment yourself to review them.

Urgent results

Urgent recalls are handled by the practice nurses. If they cannot reach you, a letter is sent to the address on file. Please make sure your address is current. Reception checks it at each face to face visit, and you can update it by email at any time.

If you have not heard anything

Wait two weeks, then email reception at specialisedmedical@bondimed.com.au. Please email rather than phone, as it is faster.

After two weeks, your enquiry is forwarded to Dr Morris to check, and a reply usually takes a few business days. If it has been less than two weeks, you will be asked to email again once two weeks have passed.

I look forward to meeting you.
